2012 Quilceda Creek CVR Red Wine

A jammy nose with some licorice notes. On the palate there are dark fruits, blackberries, anise, leather. The fruit is smooth across the palate. Firm, fine tannins, great acidity and balance. Tannins may still need 2 to 3 years to soften a bit (but not a problem right now). Finishes moderately long with dark fruits. Not as complex as their flagship Cab but very nice indeed. In no danger of fading over the next 5 years. "A-"
