1. LimerickLane Zin BanfieldVnyd/RRV/SonomaCnty (15.1%; 4 brls; Plntd: 1880) Healdsburg 2018: Dark color; very strong raspberry/blackberry/Zin/very spicy light toasty/oak much DryCreekVllyZin-like than RRV lovely nose; fairly tart/tangy very strong bright/raspberry/DCV Zin/blackberry some pencilly/oak rather spicy bit OV/dusty flavor w/ light tangy tannins; very bright/spicy/raspberry/Zin/blackberry some pencilly/oak finish w/ light tannins; speaks more of DCV Zin than RRV Zin; quite a lovely Zin that could use a few more yrs. $62.00
2. LimerickLane Zin Katz-PonzoVnyd/SonomaCnty (15.3%; 5 brls; Plntd:1912) 2018: Very dark/near black colorp; very intense blackberry/boysenberry/bit licorice very much RRV Zin-like rather toasty/oak beautiful nose; less tart strong blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/very spicy/bit licorice some dusty/OV some toasty/oak slight earthy bit complex flavor w/ modest chewey tannins; very long/lingering strong blackberry/boysenberry/RRV Zin/very spicy slight peppery some dusty/OV bit toasty/oak finish w/ light chewey tannins; speaks strong of a RRV Zin along the lines of a Carlisle. $62.00

1. These are two new Zins in the LL portfolio. Not sure if the Katz-Ponzo is from the same vnyd that Ridge makes its Ponzo Zin. If it is, it's by far the best Zin out of Ponzo that I've had. I much preferred the Ponzo to the Banfield Zin. I liked them both a lot but thought them rather on the pricey side compared to a Bedrock or Carlisle.
