Tried this wine w/ Susan Wed night:
1. LaClarineFarm Viognier SierraFoothills WW (U/U; 13.5%; www.LaClarineFarm.com; PMWines/Taos) Somerset 2018: Med.ligh gold color; rather appley/earthy very slight pear/Viog lightly fragrant interesting/pleasant nose; very tart/acidic lean/austere rather appley/earthy very light pear/Viog some chalky/earthy flavor; med.long rather appley/earthy quite tart/pinched/austere/acidic very slight pear/Viog finish; lots of acidity & some earthy/mineral character but very little recognizable Viog character; quite clean & no natty character whatsoever; may develop into something really interesting. $25.50 (KK)

1. LaClarine is, of course, the wnry of HankBeckmeyer; one of the heros of SweetAlice and natural wine lovers. Like many of Hank's whites; it has a rather screechy/strident acidity to it. But some of his whites develop into something really interesting. This is about as far away from DollyParton territory as you can get.
