2010 Walter Hansel Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard Russian River Valley

My last bottle was almost 2 years ago and it was lovely then. Not now. Dark red core with fading at rim. Reticent nose with a hint of violets. Bright fruit but a bit sharp, cherries. Fine tannins, overly acidic, bit out of balance. Finishes long but harsh. This fell apart quickly in the glass. I have 1 more bottle and I'll give it a try sometime soon. It's rare that a Walter Hansel Pinot wouldn't hold for this short a time. "C-"
