Ferlani Rosso Negrik VinoRosso da Vecchie Varieta di Montagna (11.5%; 100% Negrara; Selection Naturel/Chelsea/MA) Matteo Furlani/Altopiano della Vigolana/Trentino NV: Med.dark color; strong grapey/blackberry/Valpo-like/earthy slight natty/unclean nose; soft bit tangy/metallic some blackberry/black cherry/Valpo-like/grapey bit natty/unclean fairly earthy/loamy flavor w/ light tannins; med.long earthy/rustic/loamy grapey/blackberry/Valpo-like/coarse finish w/ light coarse tannins; a rather sour/bitter red w/ some unclean/natty character; resembles a coarse Valpolicella more than anything. $20.00 (GMT)

1. Negrara is a minor blending grape grown in Veneto/Trentino and used as a component sometimes in Valpolicella & Bardolino. Seldom made as a varietal. Nothing here says it should be planted all up&down the Coast of Calif.
