Oddly, this was actually an improvement over most of the older Alban reds I have tried. I just don't understand how people can rave about these wines. Must be my leaden palate.


Well, Charlie. I think, in large part, people rave about these wines because they are so big & extracted, they are convinced they will age into magnificant wines. My experience is that they seldom do.
