Charlie: I've fiddled with this approach a bit. A year or so ago, I tried the 2006 and 2008 Brousseau vineyards; the 2006 was surprisingly more alive. These came from Brian's cellar reduction sale. He even had a couple from 2000-2001, but I was too faint of heart to bite on those.

These days I'm mainly back to drinking them young and enjoying the fruit. I was at the winery a month ago and especially liked the 2020 Aubaine. The fruit sources now are all/mostly Central Coast and SLH.
