1996 Chateau Talbot Saint Julien

Dark at the core, fading to the edges. Faintly earthy, cherry aromas. Muted black cherries on the palate, bit of plum. Fine tannins, bit sharp acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long with muddy red fruits. Certainly not shot but well past prime. Much better than the first bottle I opened. Drink up. Note taken 90 minutes after bottle was opened. "B"
