Clerc Milon, Chateau
Bordeaux, France
Opaque purple core, warm rust red rims and can be close to brooding in look. Big, bruising nose of cedar, damp leather, incense, ginger and general toastiness, sour cherry, blackberry, currant scents, the pungency lasts for some time. Medium-bodied, big tannic frame and at times too forceful. No lack of currant, plum, cherry fruit, however, these are strangled by the finish. Stone, stone and stone, graphite touch, with less leather. Whisper of mixed white citrus and grass at the end. As enters relative middle age should have a good future but remains too tight to make any sort of authoritative pronouncement. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc.
