We had these two last night for dinner:
1. Cantina Tramin Kellerei GWT DOC: Sudtirol-AltoAdige WW (14.5%; L20/055; www.CantinaTramin.It; WineBowImprts) Termeno/Bolzano 2019: Med.dark gold color; low-key/fragrant lychee/GWT/floral/pear pleasant enough nose; soft/lush light lychee/GWT/floral off-dry (0.6%-0.8% r.s.?) quiet/low-key slightly bitter flavor; med. soft/lush/ripe quiet lycheee/GWT/floral bit sweet slightly bitter finish; a very disappointing/dull Sudtirol GWT & too soft&sweet; too much like a Z-H bottom-of-the-line GWT but w/o the aromatics; overpriced at $27.00 (KK)

2. FieldbrookWnry PetiteSirah RedwoodVlly/MendoCnty (14.0%; www.FieldbrookWinery.com) Fieldbrook 2014: Very dark color w/ little bricking; strong old oak/redwood tanky/old timey Calif/pencilly slight blackberry/PS rather earthy/MendoCnty tomatoey bit complex nose; soft bit tangy/metallic rather redwood tanky/old oak fairly coarse/earthy/loamy bit blackberry/PS/MendoCnty tomatoey flavor w/ light coarse tannins; med.long rather old-timey Calif/redwood tanky earthy/tomatoey/MendoCnty coarse finish w/ light tannins; a rather old-timey expression of MendoCnty PS; reminds some of the old Parducci PS but not as aged to senility; displays the clumsey/oafish side of PS in all its glory. $21.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Tramin was a new arrival at Kokomans & I felt compelled to try it since the World's best GWTs come from the Sudtirol. This one was not one of those. Very disappointing and veering towards vapid; not much character to speak of.
